Project Helping Kindfulness for Kids Event

Make an impact on the homeless in need in our city! This is an idea. A plan. A peanut butter plan. The concept is simple, but immediate. Even if just for a little while, we’re trying to alleviate hunger. And yes, every sandwich counts!

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?

The Peanut Butter Plan is simple! Bring the whole family and join the group to make as many PB&J sandwiches as possible. Afterwards, you have the option to buddy-up with other volunteers, friends and family members to find hungry people around the city, whether it’s on the streets, in the park or outside of a local shelter. Making the world a better place, one PB&J at a time.

Project Helping volunteers with The Peanut Butter Plan one Sunday a month. See all available dates and register here: https://projecthelping.org/volunteer/

FAQs

Why volunteer?

  • Be part of something fun, engaging and impactful.
  • As a volunteer you’ll be supporting your community and improving your own health.
  • Earn tons of good karma and do something impactful. Trust us, your friends will be jealous!
  • Speaking of friends, bring them along! Volunteering with friends and family makes the day even more memorable.
  • And, of course, the chance to change the world. Who doesn’t want that??

Donations?

In order to sustain this effort The Peanut Butter Plans asks ask for a PB&J donation from their volunteers! Each Peanut Butter Plan volunteer is asked to donate one jar of peanut butter and two jars of jelly, plus one or more loafs of bread. Easy enough!

Are there age requirements for volunteering?

Children of all ages are welcome to join in the fun as we make PB&Js! HOWEVER, when we go out to distribute the PB&J’s downtown we recommend not bringing younger children. The distribution part is optional!
