Childcare is available every Thursday evening for participants of Thrive! Jackson County. The childcare volunteers can sign up to work on a regualr schedule or just as they are available.
Volunteers are welcome to bring their own children. Supper is provided. Supper 5:45-6:20 and childcare 6:20-8pm.
All adults who work with children must take and pass Safe Gatherings. This involves an online application with abuse prevention training, several levels of background checks, and reference checks. There is a $35 fee. Scholarships are available if needed.

Mission Statement
Reduce poverty by building skills and relationships that strengthen families and individuals
Description
The vision is to alleviate generational poverty in Jackson County Kansas. All economic levels are joining together - Those in poverty attend a weekly workshop and are paired with middle- and upper-class mentors in intentional friendships. This program is available at no cost and also includes a meal and childcare during workshops.
