Volunteers play a vital role at the Animal Shelter and we're always looking for new friends. You can help make a difference in an animal's life and have fun doing it. Please see below for the many volunteer opportunities available.

Do you have good organizing skills and like to interact with the public? We can always use a few extra hands to help sort, clean, cashier and display items in the Thrift Shop. Sutter Buttes Canine is an independent donor supported 501 (c)3 non-profit organization, run by committed volunteers. We are a No-Kill Shelter. We provide care for abandoned and homeless animals until we place them in permanent homes. We are dedicated to providing humane treatment and quality of life for the animals.
