ORGANIZATION: American Heart Association - Puget Sound

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

The Seattle office of the American Heart Association is looking for volunteers who are willing to connect with local businesses in the Downtown Seattle area and pass out flyers to promote our upcoming #HealthyForGood event. Volunteers will be responsible for noting which businesses they contact.

Ideal volunteers are:

Outgoing & Energetic
Comfortable talking to new people
Available during business hours
Familiar with downtown Seattle or comfortable with a map

City blocks will be assigned based on the number of volunteers available and times are flexible (between business hours). The American Heart Association will provide all materials and training on talking points.

About the Event:

Every April, we celebrate physical activity and encourage all Americans to commit to being more active on a regular basis. In previous years, this was known as National Walking Day. Individuals, communities, schools and workplaces participate by holding events and using our toolkit of educational and promotional materials. This year Union Bank has sponsored a relay walking event which starts at King 5 News Station and ends at the Union Bank Plaza where we will be hosting a FREE festival for the community. There will be hula hoops, workout stations, healthy snacks and tons of information on how we can all live healthier, more active lives.

Be a part of this great event and help us spread the word! For more information please contact Shauna Tuey at shauna.tuey@heart.org
