Tablers at Earth Day 2016!

Earth Day Initiative is hosting its big annual Earth Day events in Union Square on April 16 th and 18 th! This year, we’re rolling out a new campaign to spread the word about clean energy as we count down to Earth Day’s 50 th anniversary in 2020. We’re talking to as many people as possible about how they can make the switch to clean energy for themselves, and we need your help.

At our event on the 18 th, we’ll have tables set up where people can learn about our Count to 50 campaign, sign up for our email list, and switch their homes and offices to clean energy. We’re looking for volunteers to help out at these tables and speak with event attendees on behalf of the Count to 50 campaign. Here’s what it takes:

  • An outgoing personality! Talking to strangers isn’t for everyone, and volunteers will be doing a lot of it.
  • Availability for at least three hours at a time from 12-7pm on April 18 th.
  • Availability for a brief training in the week leading up to the event that can be scheduled based on an individual basis. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page with our messaging, so this’ll be a quick primer on the Count to 50 campaign and what we’re hoping to accomplish. It’s also an opportunity to learn more about the current state of renewable energy generation, and why we should all be moving away from fossil fuels.

Reach out with any questions you have, and we hope you’ll join us!
