The Central Library located in mid-town Sacramento has an extensive collection of genealogic materials used by patrons as they explore their ancestry.
This position works with a special collections librarian conducting an inventory and evaluation of materials, primarily books, in the genealogy collection.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning more about library operations. You will physically inspect each item to ensure appropriate condition, affix a donation bookplate and ensure the RFID tag is on each item.
We're looking for someone who is detail oriented and who can work independently,
FLEXIBLE schedule - 2 to 3 hours each week through to the completion of the project which is expected to be completed sometime this summer.
