FOOD PANTRY SET UP TUESDAYS 8:30-10:30AM

Position Description:

The Food Pantry Volunteer assists the Pantry Coordinator in receiving, sorting, and organizing food items from the SF-Marin Food Bank, which are distributed through our agency to our clients.

• Assists in unloading of food truck when it arrives from Food Bank

• Assists in setting up the Community Room per directions

• Sorts food and assists in counting items

• Organizes food into pantry

• Recycles bags and boxes as appropriate

Skill Requirements:

• Can lift heavy food boxes - up to 25 lbs

• Can move items from truck to Community Room

• Takes directions from Food Pantry coordinator

• Available on Tuesday mornings

• Can assist in food sorting and packing

• Is a team player and has a positive attitude
