Help us protect the piping plovers this year by volunteering as a beach monitor. We are looking for volunteers for early morning and late afternoon/evening shifts beginning in early April.
Volunteers are responsible for patrolling specified area of beach looking for people breaking rules or harassing plovers in any way. Volunteers are NOT responsible for engaging offenders and will report to NPS staff or US Park Police.
A mandatory training will be held in early April. Shif ts are available early April through mid August.
Contact Dana Filippini at dana_filippini@nps.gov if interested.
