Suncrest Hospice of Pueblo is looking for ordinary people who want to make an extrordinary difference in the lives of those facing terminal and life-limiting illnesses.
Training and personalized ongoing supervision is provided, so that each volunteer feels empowered to give of themselves out of their own unique gift and skill set.
Volunteers serve the patient and their family under the guidance of the Volunteer Coordinator through weekly visits at their place of residence. Our patients live throughout the Pueblo area in their homes, assisted living communities and long-term care nursing facilities.
All volunteers are required to complete a background check, drug screen, physical, TB Test, and receive an annual flu vaccination, as well as attend an eight (8) hour orientation prior to being paired with a patient/family.
