ORGANIZATION: PROJECT INSPIRE

As children, we should experience life through a lens of unlimited possibilities, and unfortunately too many of our nation's inner city high school youth are losing their sense of possibility. Project Inspire, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington, D.C., refuses to see any of our youth fail, especially those lacking access to quality opportunities for college and career preparation.

For 14 years, we have been helping youth like Christela to defy life obstacles and get to college. When Sara got accepted to college, her family shared with our team that they didn't know where to start when it came to preparing her for college. We were immediately able to help facilitate her transition to college, and now she is a well-rounded college student who is two years away from graduation, in strong academic standing, and a leader on campus!

Project Inspire is accepting applications for our Board of Directors as we strive to expand our reach and impact. The mission of our 501(c)(3) organization is to empower youth and young adults through powerful personal, educational and professional opportunities using the arts as a gateway to achievement. Over the past few years, we have served hundreds of youth in Florida and Washington, D.C., like Christela and Sara, giving out almost $20,000 in scholarships since we started our scholarship program 12 years ago. We are hoping to add to our strong team to continue to build upon this work.
