Mistaken Identity (MI) is looking for people who want to notify the community of upcoming events, local, state and federal issues that further the advancement of our mission regarding:

Branch #1 - Advocacy

Lobby to raise awareness and funding for social and emotional learning programs for children with incarcerated parents. The programs would become a part of the state's curriculum in elementary, middle and high schools.

Branch #2 - Community Training

Free outreach training focusing on emotional and social learning, workforce development and leadership is provided at local libraries and community centers within our adopted TNI areas. Our current Community Tree of Life classes for 2018 are:

Changing your mindset: Translating your frustration and fears into a more productive lifestyle

  • Legitimize your hustle (LYH): Turn your hobby into a job and your job into a business

  • Using life experiences to build your best resume

  • Leadership Training through Girl Scouts

We have a primary, but not limited, focus in Maryland and the TNI areas within Prince George’s County.
