This volunteer will provide crisis response to domestic and sexual assault victims immediately following an assault. A DARA volunteer would respond to a secure crime scene, hospital or the local police department. This commitment level is long term.

Description
Relief After Violent Encounter - Ionia and Montcalm, Inc. offers free and confidential services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. RAVE serves the communities located in Ionia and Montcalm counties. We have a rich history built on the hard work of these communities beginning in 1979. We offer legal, court and PPO advocacy, safety planning, support groups for residents, parents, schools/teachers, children, and outreach clients, crisis response and domestic assault response services, referrals, child and adult counseling, a 24/7 365 days/year crisis line and emergency shelter. Our shelter is located in Ionia and we have outreach services in both Ionia and Montcalm county.
