It feels good to give back! Become a Volunteer Tutor
Literacy Volunteers of Central CT will offer training for people* interested in tutoring students in reading, and writing.
The Basic Literacy training session will be held on all of the following dates:
May 11, 15, 18, 22, 25 (10AM-12:30PM) at the New Britain Public Library.

Position Statement
Literacy Volunteers of Central CT provides instruction, assistance and encouragement to those adult members of our community who want to improve their skills in reading, writing, or speaking English so that they can achieve their work, family, and community goals.
We recruit and train volunteers who tutor and also act as mentors for students that may need help with cultural or societal issues as well as language difficulties.Description
Volunteers are trained to help adults reach their community, work, family, and education goals through English literacy. We serve over 360 students per year from New Britain/Middletown and surrounding towns.
