This volunteer has the amazing opportunity to work in our shelter home and directly caring/assisting the women and children in our residential facility by providing emotional support, advocacy, and responding to any needs. This individual would also answer the crisis line in the shelter. This commitment level is long term.

Description

Relief After Violent Encounter - Ionia and Montcalm, Inc. offers free and confidential services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. RAVE serves the communities located in Ionia and Montcalm counties. We have a rich history built on the hard work of these communities beginning in 1979. We offer legal, court and PPO advocacy, safety planning, support groups for residents, parents, schools/teachers, children, and outreach clients, crisis response and domestic assault response services, referrals, child and adult counseling, a 24/7 365 days/year crisis line and emergency shelter. Our shelter is located in Ionia and we have outreach services in both Ionia and Montcalm county.
