Take a Kid Fishing
Catch some quality time with a child in your life. Bring your own pole or borrow one of ours. There will be lots of hands-on fishing stations to practice tying knots, casting, baiting a hook and more.
Recycle your lead tackle or fishing line. There will be door prizes and giveaways.
Date: Sunday, June 11, noon-3 p.m.
Location: Thompson County Park, West St. Paul
Admission: Free. Pre-registration is appreciated and available by calling 952-891-7000 during standard business hours. Register now.
Parking: Free. Available onsite.
Food: Hot concessions will be available to purchase.
What to bring: Come dressed for the weather in sturdy footwear. Fishing poles, tackle, bait and all supplies are provided. Adults (age 16+) do not need a fishing license when fishing with a child.
Volunteers: Event volunteers are needed for activity stations. Volunteer now.
