Job Description and Purpose:
Grants provide a large percentage of AAEE’s funding and are critical to our success. We are seeking a volunteer to assist us in identifying and applying for grants and corporate giving opportunities. The Grant Researcher will conduct online research to find grants that are a good match for the AAEE mission and funding priorities. This volunteer will assist in pre-application inquiries, grant applications, and tracking grant information and deadlines on a master grant spreadsheet.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Online research
- Research and evaluate a variety of grants to determine applicability and fit
- Regular Communication with Grant Coordinator
- Track grant applications
Qualifications:
- Computer proficiency
- Organization
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills
- Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines with very little supervision
Requirements of the Job:
- Attend 1 hour AAEE orientation training
- Be a current member of AAEE
- The majority of this volunteer work is done via computer. You must be able to reply to emails in a timely manner
- Time commitment: 4 hours per month
- Previous grant experience helpful, but not required
Supervision: Grant Coordinator
Location: Work from home computer
