The prayer of a righeous one is powerful and effective. ~James 5:16
Our ministry has a growing team of people who are supporting our mission to provide relational discipleship to the homeless of Seattle.
As we grow, we're finding that prayer and encouragement are more and more important.
And, as we grow, we're also finding that it's becoming more and more difficult to encourage the growing team on an individual basis.
That's where you come in. Will you use your skills of prayer and appreciation to encourage our awesome team?
You can set your own schedule and frequency. We will send a monthly (at least, potentially more often as needs arise) prayer list/requests from our team members for you to pray over. Then, as you've prayed, you can send a quick email to the person you prayed for with a verse or encouraging word or story. We would love for every member of our growing team to receive an encouraging word at least once per month.
If you read this listing and think that we're making a silly, unreal, or unnecessary request, then there's no need for you to volunteer to do it. But if you've read this listing and have a pull in your gut that tells you how important prayer and encouragement are, then we need you on our team!
Are you in?
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. ~Ephesians 6:12

Mission Statement
Motivated by the love of Jesus, Babysteps Ministry seeks to empower the homeless to take small steps toward lasting life change through relational discipleship.
Description
Babysteps uses a relational approach to solve homelessness. Our first step is not usually to meet physical needs. It’s to be friends. To understand. To just be. Homeless men and women are people, just like you. Isolation and feeling ignored are two of the worst things for anyone to experience. They crush the spirit. Demoralize the soul. Harden the heart. And homeless people live with them every day. This is their single greatest need, and no amount of free food will meet it.
