THANKS, community. I have several very good volunteers who will help with this. I'll take the posting down in a week or so after we begin this project.

Mint Artists Guild needs a website - and we really wish it to be a WordPress one. We already have a theme chosen and a URL and some ideas for the first pages and content. All we need is someone with some WordPress experience to set it up and get us started and handle the install and a few technical details. (And then answer questions as we take over adding pages and content).

If you want to do more work or less, we're glad to accomodate you - and make this a win-win-win.

If you like Mint and want to stay involved, we are glad to have you work on the second stage of the website or join our marketing working group.

Mission Statement

Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.

Description

Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
