SVSF's Adult GED Program provides free individualized assistance to adults in preparation for the High School Equivalency/GED exam.
We are looking for tutors at the following times and locations-
Monday afternoons 1pm-3:30pm at 7310 Woodward, Detroit, MI 48201 (New Center Campus, Wayne Metro)
Monday mornings from 9:00am-noon and Thursday afternoons from 1:30pm-3:30pm at 9641 Harper Ave. (NSO, East Side location)
Tuesday evenings 5:30pm.-7:30pm at 1200 Oakman, MTI Building Detroit, MI 48238 (Central Campus, FOCUS HOPE)
Thursday afternoons 1:30pm-4:00pm at 16630 Wyoming, Detroit, MI 48221 (North-Central Campus, COTS)
Wednesday mornings from 9am-12pm at 13800 Eastburn St., Detroit, MI 48205 (Northeast Campus, Brilliant Detroit)
Tuesday afternoons from 1pm-3:30pm at 16865 Burt Rd., Detroit, MI 48219 (Main Campus)
We focus heavily on math, because that seems to be the most challenging subject for most students. There will also be some need to assist students with Language Arts, Science and Social Studies.
If the time frame is between 9:00am and noon. You can tutor the whole time of come for part of it, for example, 9:00am-10:00am.
There also may be other volunteer opportunities available.

Our programs are designed to break through the barriers to education that many residents in our area face.
