Volunteer greets Catholic Charities' criminal justice clients. Greeter creates a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that decreases the likelihood of the clients' disengaging from the program/or have negative interactions with other clients.
Key Responsibilities: Escort client to other parts of the building, offer clients water and/or food if needed. Assists front desk with buzzing clients in to the building.
Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and good listening skills; patience and compassionate; willingness to work with clients with history of drugs, alcohol, mental health and/or criminal record.
Must be 21 years or older, clear fingerprint and background investigation; complete volunteer training.
