Learn To Swim Week is an opportunity for low-income families in the community to enroll their children in free water safety classes at the YMCA during Spring Break. This event is held each year at the Y and is important to the community and to the safety and well being of our children. We are currently recruiting volunteers in order to make this incredible project happen!
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and be willing to undergo a background check. Swim Week classes will be held from 3:30pm-6:30pm Monday, April 2 through Friday, April 6, 2018. We ask that volunteers be able to commit to at least two shifts during that week as well as one training beforehand. We are happy to sign community service forms or provide documentation of participation.
No life guarding/ swim instructor experience required, just a willingness to work with children and learn!
