Do you love Bingo? Have a creative side and want to share that with lonely seniors in your area? Is arts and crafts a passion of yours?
Then look no further, because volunteering with Miller Hospice as an Activities Assistant is your calling!
At Miller Hospice, we believe that volunteers can help local seniors find their purpose, often in simple ways such as helping them play Bingo, or creating new and fun games for them to enjoy. Many area seniors are lonely and have no family to visit them. As an Activity Asssitant volunteer, you will have the flexibility to spend your time with these wonderful folks around your schedule, and the ability to get creative - the sky is the limit really!!
Feel free to think of new games or create ways to improve old games. If you have an art project for school, maybe you could work on it with a senior - they would love to engage with you in that way! Perhaps you are studying education and need to try out new lesson plan ideas or activity ideas - local seniors would love to help you and give you their feedback!
If you have the time, they have the desire to have fun with you! All it takes is a creative mind and the willingness to help others!!
Contact Miller today to talk to us about your ideas and how we can get you started volunteering as an Activity Assistant right away!!
