Title: Almost Home’s Meals for Moms

Hours and Times: Weekly-Fridays, Saturdays; Lunch (12pm-1pm) and Dinner (5pm-6pm)

Description: Are you passionate about making sure young mother and their children have food to eat? Are you an individual or an organization looking to provide help to an agency in need, but you don’t quite have the time to physically volunteer? Then Almost Home’s Meals for Moms program may be the perfect opportunity for you.

Almost Home is looking for an individual or group to provide food for our clients on Fridays and Saturdays in 2017 while our cook is off of work. Meals for Moms is a quick dontaion style support program for our clients. All you have to do is pick up enough food to feed 10 families and deliver it to our agency a day before the meal will be served by our staff. We do the rest!

Donated Food Requirements:

• Professionally prepared food from organizations with accessible nutrition information.
• Enough food for current clients and their children (10 women, 10 children)
• Food must not be expired
• No alcoholic beverages
• Food must be delivered to the agency 30 minutes before the start of mealtime
• Food must be approved by the agency ion the Thursday before delivery
• If food is purchased from a store, it must be unopened
• Per our health food regulations, food must adhere to our definition of a meal. A meal is defined as a meat and two sides dishes; sides dishes must be a vegetable or a fruit dish.
