Our Early Childhood Education department is gearing up for Pre-Kindergarten registration and they need your help! During registration, it's all hands on deck, so Early Childhood needs some help keeping things running smoothly. Volunteer duties may include:

• Acting as a greeter; ensure families sign in/out of registration booklet
• Answering phones; determine nature of call and direct caller to proper destination or individual.
• Assisting with childcare while parents are completing enrollment process (an SLPS Early Childhood staff member will ALWAYS be supervising)
• Completing follow up calls to families inquiring about registration
• Assisting with daily clean-up of children learning areas
• Assisting with inventory of department supplies and report totals for purchase orders
• Helping to maintain enrollment counts for the day
• Assisting with registration for Parents as Teachers screeners; contact families to schedule summer screenings

All volunteers will need to attend a brief Early Childhood volunteer training session on either March 30th or March 31st. All volunteers are encouraged to work Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.; schedule to be discussed prior to start date. Professional attire/business casual.
