Open Paths Counseling Center is looking for a few Yoga instructors willing to donate their time and expertise to lead yoga sessions for both clients and therapists (not together). As a nonprofit community counseling center, Open Paths serves folks who are low-income, under or uninsured, and fall through the cracks of our mental health support systems. Clients experience stress, depression, anxiety, and/or trauma, and will benefit greatly from the theraputic effects of a regular yoga practice, which is typically beyond their financial means.
Likewise, our unpaid, dedicated clinical interns and trainees who work with our clients will also benefit from the self-care of yoga as they work to help our clients improve their emotional wellbeing.
We are looking for a warm, caring yoga instructor who understands both our clients and clinicans to volunteer their talents leading weekly yoga classes.
