Have you always loved dogs since you were a kid? Have you thought that maybe you would like to go to school to be a Vet someday? Have you considered working at a shelter because you want to help dogs go thru the emotional adjustment period of being unwanted to becoming an adoptable dog?

The LnF Dog Rescue, in New Castle DE, is looking for a capable volunteer who might be interested in becoming an "apprentice" at LNF Dog Rescue to learn how our in-home foster-based dog rescue works from top to bottom. The Foster Mom/Founder has a lifetime of saving animals & 17-years of running LNF Dog Rescue out of her home. To date, we have saved the lives of #577 pups/dogs & have found excellent homes for #565 pups/dogs since 2-24-2004.

Would love to find someone who really wants to learn how we do what we do to save the lives of puppies & dogs ---- in the hopes that going forward you would be able to use that experience personally to save more lives yourself.

Seeking volunteer workers for approximately 15-20 hours a week -- 3-5 days a week that would be willing to help clean dog kennels and the surrounding canine area. Must LOVE dogs! All pups/dogs who are mostly mutts & hounds have sweet & gentle personalities. For the right candidate, this could become a part-time paid position.

Eventually, through secure evaluation, the new volunteer would be willing to bathe, groom, and help move our rescued dogs throughout our rescue process.

We are looking for volunteers no younger than 17-years of age. You cannot be hesitant to work with large dogs.

Masks & gloves, which are provided, must be worn at all times to prevent Covid-19.

"Our goal is ensuring that each pet finds the perfect home for them for life -- but it takes a lot of work to make that all happen!"

Mission Statement

At LnF Dog Rescue our passion is rescuing dogs/pups but our primary goal is to ensure that each pet we adopt out is spayed or neutered. Since we guarantee that our pets cannot reproduce, they cannot contribute offspring to add to the overpopulation in our community.

We rescue homeless and unwanted dogs/pups from shelters, foster them in our homes, and find homes for them.
