Mission Statement

HELP for KIDS, is an Exchange Club Parenting Skills Center. Our mission is to stop the cycle of child abuse by strengthening the family through home-based intervention programs designed to improve dysfunctional communications and behaviors that lead to abuse and provide access to basic needs and community resources given 97% of the population we serve is under the poverty line. Unlike other agencies we have no filtering criteria for the families we work with other than they need our help. We have a high rate of referrals from government agencies like DCF, reflecting their inability to provide a social safety net for the most at risk families in our community. These agencies and other institutions, including courts and schools, refer to us because we have a high rate of success in keeping the family intact and significantly improving how the family communicates and functions.
