Description
Since 1989, the Anacostia Watershed Society has been working to make the Anacostia River swimmable, fishable and beautiful for everyone to enjoy!
We are always looking for volunteers to help with a variety of activities including: community cleanups, native plant and tree plantings, invasive plant removals, and meadow restorations.
AWS recognizes that volunteers truly are the backbone of this organization and that without them, our mission of cleaning up the Anacostia River would not be possible!
Contact us today to make a stand against pollution and restore this river to its natural beauty!
