Volunteers Needed for the 2017 Remembrance Walk in Orlando, Florida
Based in Centennial, Colorado, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep is a non-profit organization that trains, educates, and mobilizes over 1700 professional quality photographers around the world to provide beautiful heirloom portraits to families facing the untimely death of an infant. Photographers volunteer their time to gift parents with heirloom portraits of the only moments the parents will spend with their baby.
Volunteer opportunities are available to assist with our upcoming event, called a "Remembrance Walk" which will be held in Orlando to remember babies and to help bring healing to the many families that have experienced the loss of an infant. The Remembrance Walk includes a program with readings, music and speakers and each baby his honored by having his or her name read aloud. Following the program, participants will journey together for a reflective walk. Additionally, before the "Remembrance Walk" there is an optional 5k run/walk.
The event will be held on Sunday, May 7th at Baldwin Park in Orlando, located at 2162 Lakemont Avenue, Orlando, FL 32814.
Volunteer shifts begin as early as 6:00am for setup and conclude by 2:30pm.
Please know that Friday, May 5th is our deadline and all volunteer spaces will be filled by that date.
