Taste of Oakland is sponsored by Youth Aid Non Profit Organization in partnership with Jack London Square Oakland. Youth Aid provides instruction and mentorship to children ages 8-18 from the underserved communities of Oakland in the fields of Music and the Arts, Technology, and Tech Engineering. Taste of Oakland is an annual fundraising event for Youth Aid and is sure to be fun filled and entertaining for the entire family.

Jack London Square is in partnership with Youth Aid in providing the venue and opportunity to create a learning as well as an entertainment environment for the enjoyment of the entire family.

Its mission is to expose, engage, and inspire youth from under-served communities through the creation, production, and business of music. Youth Aid provides free, industry standard music instruction and production for youth ages 8-18 for communities within the Bay Area. Through strategic partnerships with local community based programs, Youth Aid supports and strengthens the social and cultural infrastructure of the Bay Area’s most vulnerable population and creates opportunities for youth to learn, develop their talents, cultivate their creativity, and fulfill their dreams through various after school and summer programs.
