ORGANIZATION: KULA KAMALA FOUNDATION

Kula Kamala Foundation & the Ashram seeks a part-time grounds keeper, gardener, and builder to help create out or inside program areas. intern or volunteer should apply to join our Ground Team.

The intern or volunteer hired for this position will be outside focused, but many also contribute to "Do It Yourself" build projects for both inside and outside. These positions are unpaid volunteer positions, but will result in references and real world non-profit experience. Generally meals are also available where afforded duing the course of the day. Further details below.

Volunteers work in close partnership with the ashram interns, staff, volunteess and various Board members to capture and present the works accomplished through yoga. Volunteers may also provide assistance with capturing photographic and video materials as well as ensuring the ashram facilities are safe and presentable for our guests and clients.

Qualifications:
1. Spiritual seeker with a love of yoga's vast practices, and compassion for helping others identify and construct, or tend to outdoor program areas
2. Excellent interpersonal communications
3. Outstanding organizational and follow-through skills
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Dependable with respect to agreed upon schedule

7. Ability to work with lawn and gardening equipment

8. Ability to build stuff, such as from instructables.com wrt hydroponics, aquaponics, gardening, cement planters and Or features, outdoor benches, fire pit, raised garden beds and indoor/outdoor features,

Kula Kamala Foundation took root in 2008 as a result of the healing vision and dedication of Sudha & Ed Allitt. Kula Kamala Foundation is dedicated to coordinating, implementing and supporting therapeutic Yoga education, services and training for individuals and groups from public, special and medical communities, in order to reduce suffering, enhance happiness and improve overall health & wellbeing, with a special emphasis in areas and for individuals where such programs might not otherwise be available or accessible.
