We have a large senior dog rescue (and an occasional cat) with more than 50 senior and special need dogs. At this time, we are so busy with the day to day, we don't have as much attention as we would like to give to each dog individually. That's where YOU come in.
You have some experience with having a dog, dog training, Reiki for Dogs, dog massage, or dog walking (Animal Shelter volunteer is a HUGE plus)
You are patient, kind, and have a calm demeanor. A calm demeanor is very important in working with senior dogs, who have special needs, or have limited time with us. They need love, socialization, a gentle touch, and a kind gentle, demeanor. You understand DOG LANGUAGE, a tail down between their back legs means they are afraid, you know that staring into their eyes can be perceived as aggressive in their world.
We hope you will connect and help us spread the word. We are all dog lovers, and welcome you with your knowledge, attention, and love of Dogs.

Mission Statement
MEADE Canine Rescue is a 501C3 Non Profit Rescue established for dogs (and the occasional cat who gets along with Dogs) with the goal of SAVING Dogs who for various reasons end up in local municipal shelters and would otherwise, within days be EUTHANIZED.
Description
Established by a determined woman who walked into a kill pound one spring afternoon and learned that the dog she had fallen in love with NOT be there after the holiday weekend. They had run out of space, and were euthanizing a list of dogs that weekend to cut down on the work load for the staff. With that horrible news weighting heavily on her heart, she went shopping for fencing material, and started building as many fences as she had space for to start her own rescuing efforts. She quickly learned an adage used regularly in the Rescue World, "One person can't save all the dogs, but one person CAN change the world for ONE dog (at a time). The DOGS on our site TRULY were in danger of being euthanized without any mercy. So, by YOU adopting one of our beloved animals, YOU will not only save a life, but we can make room for another unfortunate soulful dog sitting in a Concrete Cage on Borrowed Time
