Volunteers work directly with the children and familes of the outpatient treatment center. The program runs Monday- Friday from 10:30am - noon. Volunteers encourage the children and their families to come to the playroom and particiapte in a myriad of activites, toys and games. Volunteers then serve lunch to all. The volunteer commitment is a minimum of three --1 1/2 hour shifts per month. No specific skills are required except a big smile and strong commitment!

Mission Statement
Better Day Buddies is a pediatric diversion program offered to patients (and their family members) who are undergoing treatment at Golisano Children's Hospital.
Description
Better Day Buddies run the daily program for children who are receiving treatment for life threatening illnesses. Activities include: literature, crafts, movies, toys, game and lunch. The program runs from Monday to Friday from 10:30am to noon. Volunteers need to be committed with big smiles and open hearts.
