Mission Statement

Our Mission: Bringing the arts to people of all ages from all walks of life through workshops and performances. Our Vision: Connecting individuals to the arts and artists in their community, while providing artists opportunities to spread joy through the arts within an approximate 5 mile radius of home or work.

Description

The AnA Project strives to provide outreach opportunities focusing on young and old alike We believe that the arts are vital and spread joy, that the may otherwise escape us, if we are not connected. Examples of our outreach: in a women's shelters, children and mothers relate in a new safe way, through our Drawing-from-Music workshops, in libraries young and old alike investigate creating works from live performers, in nursing homes the elderly are encouraged to express themselves through mark making as they watch dancing and listen to music, in shelters children are presented with a learning entrepreneural skills through balloon sculptures and clowning. These are only a few of the experiences in art that we bring to our communities.

In adult full care facilities, retirement and nursing homes many of the residents range in age from young adult to the elderly, and present a wide variety of both physical and mental challenges, this is where our outreach by bringing the arts spreads joy.

De-funding of the arts in schools has left a creative void among our youth. The AnA Project seeks opportunities to reach these communities as well as senior living communities to make a difference. The AnA Project crosses the generational gap by providing workshops in a multitude of venues so individuals who wouldn't otherwise be exposed to the arts will have such an opportunity.

The AnA Project spreads joy while making a difference, won't you join us!
