About the Opportunity

Conveners.org develops programs, tools, and resources to unlock the collective potential of the Impact Ecosystem to change the world. A registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, Conveners.org manages two flagship programs that increase coordination among impact-focused conveners and accelerators.

We are seeking a resourceful and diligent Graphic Design Intern with a modern design aesthetic and exceptionally strong creative chops who will support the creation of visual design elements associated with a special online report.

This person is an A-player who can thrive in a startup environment and is interested in pursuing a career in graphic design, and wants to use their creative skills to support a mission-driven organization. The successful candidate will be an organized problem-solver and self-starter with global sensibilities and the ability to multitask, and at the same time maintain attention to detail and high standards for quality.

Interns may work remotely and hours are negotiable. While the internship is unpaid, it is available in exchange for course credit and ongoing career mentorship. In addition, this is a unique opportunity to gain experience while developing creative material to add to your professional design portfolio.

Current university undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. We are searching for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

Requirements:

? Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related studies

? Strong knowledge of Adobe CS5 Suite including: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

? Proficiency in Google Apps Suite and MS Excel

? Experience with web design is a plus

? Amazing sense of typography, color, layout, and hierarchy

? Strong understanding of marketing design and best practices

? Interest in social entrepreneurship, impact convening, and collective impact

? Desire to gain graphic design experience to add to professional portfolio

? Excellent verbal and written communications skills

? Robust organizational and planning skills

? Professionalism and dependability

? Strong emotional intelligence and a positive attitude

? Commitment to social and environmental causes

? Discretion and confidentiality

? Appropriate technology is required (personal computer, secure internet connection)

Interested candidates should email their resume and a brief cover letter to Nayelli Gonzalez, Director of Marketing & Communications, at nayelli@conveners.org.

Mission Statement

Conveners.org's mission is to support the diverse ecosystem of impact-focused conveners and accelerators to advance their work by offering resources that allow them to convene and collaborate more effectively and efficiently.

Description

Conveners.org recognizes the transformative power that convening, when done right, has to positively change the world. We are building a community of mission-driven conveners and accelerators to convene and learn from each other, build the larger capacity of the field, and construct pathways to more efficiently realize change.

With 600+ impact-focused conferences occurring each year and the rapid launch of a new accelerator on a seemingly daily basis, the impact ecosystem is getting crowded. Opportunity costs are high, as organizations operate in silos. Information is fragmented and resources are spread thin.

Conveners.org was created to foster coordination, collaboration, and learning among impact-focused conveners and accelerators. We are a nonprofit organization that develops programs, tools, and resources to support these communities in advancing systems-level change.

We connect networks, share knowledge, and build capacity.
