The Nonprofit Management Intern will assist the Managing Director with daily administrative tasks in addition to helping plan and implement strategic and development plans for the organization. The intern will also ensure that workplace policies are up to date with existing legislation and brainstorm advocacy ideas for the public to educate them on the realities of the refugee application process and how they contribute to society.
Assist the Executive Director with updating and researching workplace policies and procedures in accordance with new labor laws
Assist with fundraising and donor development including grant writing, implementing a donor database, and a development plan. Create different giving levels for donors and corporations.
Research and design advocacy ideas for community outreach
Research other refugee agencies marketing and PR
The ideal candidate will be passionate about nonprofits and refugee agencies, have experience in administration and development, possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and be self-motivated. The individual must have an interest and desire to work in a multicultural environment.
