We will doing our annual sprucing up of the Pawtucket Dog Park. We need volunteers who are not afraid to get a little dirty.
This year's focus is on the overall make-over of the dog park. We will be planting flowers, raking autumn leaves that were left behind, mowing grass, tilling the soil, painting the building and the benches, paiting the new play equipment and reworking the area around the water spigots. There will be other chores that pop up as we go, so don't be worried about it being too physical. We can also use "runners" to help bring supplies to the workers (a lot less strenuous).
Our biggest challenge for the day is to create cement pads under the park benches. We started last year but ran out of time. So those of you with concrete experience are EXTREMELY ENCOURAGED to volunteer your time with us!
Bring your own gloves and dress for "dirty"! Snacks and refreshments will be provided to our volunteers.
