Have you always wondered what you can do to show your appreciation and give your support to our Veterans? To let them know they are not forgotten?..... Soldiers' Angels in the Pacific Northwest hosts monthly morale luncheons as a way to show our appreciation.

Soldiers’ Angels is looking for a volunteer with an outgoing and warm personality to lead a team of event volunteers as we say thank you to Veterans. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for managing the once a month luncheon we hold at the American Lake VA Medical Center for approximately 30 Veterans receiving care at the VA. We have a wonderful team of event volunteers but we need a person to lead the team.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Connecting with the donors who will be donating the meal to make the logistical arrangements

• Communicating before the event with the event volunteers to ensure proper manning

• Create a welcoming environment at the event for the volunteers and Veteran attendees

• Manage the day of the event activities, to include setting up room, setting up the meal items, clean up after the event - all with the help of the event volunteer as well.

• Complete and submit documentation following the event

Estimated Time Commitment

• 1 hour prior to the event to communicate with the donors and the volunteers via phone and email - can be done from home

• 3 hours once a month on the day of the event - typically the 2 nd Saturday of the month

• 1 hour of event wrap up paperwork - can be done from home

Soldiers’ Angels Mission

• The mission of Soldiers’ Angels is to provide aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, their families and the growing veteran population.

"He shook my hand and said thank you as he came into the auditorium. He was one I hadn’t seen before and I shook his hand and said - No. Thank you! We had our lunch and as he was leaving - he came up and shook my hand again and gave me a huge bear hug just after telling me how much this meant to him. He told me, 'You see just two and a half weeks ago I was homeless only with the clothes on my back. So for you guys to come and do this for us - means more than I can say.’ I saw that his eyes were tearing up and that it meant the world to him to know that he has not been forgotten."
