Internship Program Overview:
As a Kitten Foster Project Intern you will be assisting the Kitten Foster Project Department specifically in the coordination of foster recruitment and appointments as well as incoming transports.
This Kitten Foster Project Intern position is an unpaid volunteer position with a nonprofit organization. We are happy to work with students so that they may receive academic credit or outside funding for their work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop an outreach plan focused on increasing the number of foster families and spreading the word about our mission.
Assist Foster Coordinator with foster appointments, pickups, and drop-offs.
Assist Nursery Coordinator with incoming transports.
Deliver a presentation for our monthly Kitten ACATemy, in conjunction with staff, on a topic of interest agreed upon with the Kitten Foster Project staff.
Requirements:
Interest in non-profit animal welfare strongly preferred.
Ability to communicate in an effective, courteous, and professional manner with a diverse population including fosters, volunteers, and the general public.
Length of Project:
8-12 weeks (based on availability) or in accordance with for-credit internship requirements
