Events & Communications Intern

Quincy Asian Resources Inc. is seeking an Events & Communications Intern to provide support with events management/logistics, marketing/communications, development activities, and administrative duties. The intern will assist the Events Consultant and Development Manager in planning and executing two large-scale community festivals (January and August) and one gala fundraiser (May). Responsibilities include:

• Manage volunteer coordination, including recruitment, outreach, scheduling, and delegation of tasks

• Promote QARI and events through social media and marketing, including website content, press releases, e-blasts and newsletters

• Follow up with inquiries regarding events in a timely fashion

• Communicate with sponsors, donors and vendors in a respectful, professional and positive manner

• Complete data management/entry (primarily Salesforce)

• Complete mass mailings

• Support event logistics as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Must be extremely detail oriented

• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite and Google Docs; familiarity with Wordpress a plus

• Some minor graphic design as needed; familiarity with basic graphic design apps a plus

• Native or near-native English written and verbal skills

• Available to work some evenings
