ORGANIZATION: Farms to Grow, Inc

We are in full swing of our CSA Harvest Box program (Feb 4th - June 4). The Harvest box season is just 3 more Saturdays April 1, May 6 & June 3 (9 am - 1:30 pm). The volunteer location is 5316 Telegraph Ave, Oakland. A team of three to four people is needed duties include; receiving the produce, quality check, placing produce in boxes for subscriber pickup & delivery, setup and breakdown of tables and tents.

This is our most crucial need, but coming out of the pipeline; farm visits, harvest day, black farming film night and circling back mobile educational panel just to mention a few volunteer opportunities

FARMS TO GROW, INC is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to advocating and providing technical assistance to Black farmers throughout the country. Farms To Grow, Inc. is committed to sustainable farming and innovative agriculture practices which preserve the cultural and biological diversity, the agroecological balance of the local environment.

Farms To Grow, Inc. aims to increase the capacity of underserved farmers to keep their farm operations and establish farming as a viable career for future generations. Underserved farmers may include Native American, Hispanic, other minority groups, women, the physically challenged and limited access organic farmers.
