The Salvation Army facilities throughout the region!
Soup Kitchen Volunteers: Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4:30-6:00pm
Opportunities Include:
- Community Meal Preparation and Cooking
- Serving Community Meal for 30-40 People
- Meal Clean Up
Volunteer Specifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older, or if a part of a group, supervised by someone 18 years of age or older
- Must Be Able to Use Gas Stove & Convection Oven
- Must Follow Food Bank and New York Health Department Guidelines
- Appropriate Attire is Expected for Safety (no sandals/flip flops or shorts are permitted in the kitchen)
- Smoking, drinking or substance use is not permitted on the premises
- Proper hygiene is expected as is frequent and appropriate hand washing and cleanliness to insure your safety and the safety of our clients
- Must be Mindful of The Salvation Army Mission
Training will be provided prior to volunteering
All Volunteers with The Salvation Army are required to complete a volunteer application, an emergency contact form, and-if volunteering on a regular basis or with children-submit to a background check.
