As the country’s largest mentoring program, you can feel confident that by volunteering at Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS), you will make a significant and very real impact on a child’s life. We are especially in need of male volunteers to match with our large wait list of male mentees.
We match volunteers over the age of 21 with children between 7-17 years old in Westchester County. We ask that, once paired, you arrange time to meet with your mentee ("Little") for just four hours a month.
Your Little can join you for the kinds of activities you already like to do - play a board game, go to the movies, share a pizza, shoot some hoops, take a walk in the park, or just hang out together and talk.
BBBS provides screening and education as well as guidance and support to ensure that every match is a success. A "Mentor Manager" oversees every match, providing support to both mentor and youth participant.

Description
Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Family Services of Westchester (FSW) is a youth mentoring organization. Since 1958, our mission has been to help children realize and reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships. We operate under a Big/Little model, matching adult volunteers (our "Bigs") with children (our "Littles"). These meaningful and enduring relationships have proven to positively change our Littles’ lives.
