We're sometimes able to get food generously donated from local restaurants for our weekly meetings and events. If we can't find a restaurant to donate, we buy the kids Costco Pizza. Sharing feelings and stories is much more fun when the kids are fed!
Sometimes we begin by playing a game with the group (like introductions or word games). Then we listen to a volunteer's divorce story while we eat free food.
We like for the kids to have a way of getting to know each other better by doing short icebreaker games that last only 5 (or so) minutes. There are typically 30-40 kids that show up at each meeting. The meeting space is a classroom. We meet at Dana Hills High School every Wednesday on their lunch break at 12:19pm.
Background check required if coming in person, but we'd love to have you!

Mission Statement
To provide a safe, neutral, supportive place for kids to hangout and have fun with other kids going through a divorce. By hearing others' stories, kids know they're not alone and it's all going to be ok.
Description
We meet at Dana Hills High School every Wednesday at their lunch 12:19pm

The citizens of middletown are you and us and everyone whose parents are separated. When parents separate, sometimes crazy things happen. It can get sooooo crazy. But that’s actually pretty normal. It’s just regular crazy.
The middletown is a safe, neutral, supportive place to be with fellow citizens. We say "I know what you mean"... and we really do. We laugh and cry because being sad together mak es us happy. We make new friends, we get silly, and we learn from each other’s stories.
Volunteers share and you can too... if you want to. Working through each others’ challenges helps everyone heal. We do the fun stuff too... we play games! Do you have a fun idea? Make a suggestion.
Citizens have bright futures ahead of them. We know from experience that divorces get better. Seriously. You’ll meet others who survived their parents’ separation... and guess what? They’re all doing fine. You will too.
