ORGANIZATION: Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco

  • 8 people are interested

Help the Mission Clubhouse (901 Alabama St) with admin and organizational work. Volunteer activities include book keeping, flier creation, scheduling of events with community partners, facilities management and program check ins. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to support youth and get experience helping with behind the scenes tasks. The Mission Clubhouse is an excellent place to volunteer and the staff truly appreciate and value volunteers.

The timing is flexible and we ask that volunteers commit to at least 3 hours a week for a minimum of one month. You will be able to work with the Clubhouse Director to determine your schedule.

If you're interested in learning more or signing up, please reach out to Bret Carr, Volunteer Coordinator, at bcarr@kidsclub.org or 415 445 5482.

Thanks so much for your support!

Mission Statement

To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Description

Part of the community since 1891, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) currently serves more than 1,800 youth (ages six-18) per day. We have more than 5,800 active members and serve more than 18,500 youth per year at 14 program sites-including eight Clubhouses located in the neighborhoods with the fewest resources, four school-based sites, one park, and Camp Mendocino - a 2,000-acre residential summer camp that provides a creative and fun outdoor experience for youth. We are open "when kids need us most" - after school, on most school holidays and during the summer. We offer safe places where young people can learn, grow, and succeed.
