Volunteer with the Little Lighthouse Foundation’s (LLF) Craft Night at Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS). CHS is a shelter for children that have been removed from their parent’s care and their homes due to domestic issues (abuse, neglect, etc). Children may stay at CHS for several days or up to a year depending on their specific situation. Children range in age from newborns up to the age of 12.
LLF volunteers interact with CHS children in a variety of activities including, arts & crafts, sing-a-longs, group games, and more. Program activities change each month, and are led by an LLF Chapter Leader. LLF also provides a healthy snack and beverage for children during the session, and the children keep any completed projects. Craft Nights occur from 6:30 pm - 8:30pm during scheduled weekdays.

The Little Lighthouse Foundation assists children and their families in South Florida who face educational, financial, and medical hardships. This support is derived from recruiting and educating passionate, caring, socially conscious South Floridians, and then deploying them to beneficiary charities. In addition, the Little Lighthouse Foundation raises monies to provide direct support both directly to children and their families and to address specific needs of local charities benefitting children. Through a new paradigm of fundraising and awareness, the Little Lighthouse Foundation financially supports numerous partner organizations throughout South Florida and dispatches hundreds of volunteers who donate their time and hearts.

Founded in 2010, The Little Lighthouse Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that rallies volunteers and conducts high profile events to benefit children and their families throughout South Florida. Focusing on supporting families who face medical, educational, emotional and financial challenges, the Little Lighthouse Foundation?s network of active young professionals contribute both time and financial contributions to the greater good of the foundation's beneficiaries.
