ORGANIZATION: CASA of the Pikes Peak Region

Volunteers oversee this court-ordered service that protects children from witnessing parental disputes during the exchange of children from one parent to another. Volunteers also supervise court-ordered parenting time, allowing children to spend time with their parents in a safe environment. Observations during supervised visits are documented and submitted to the court. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) provide a voice in court for children who are victims of abuse, neglect or domestic conflict and promotes community awareness of these issues to ensure safe and permanant homes.

Description

Nobody longs for a safe and loving family more than a child in foster care. As a CASA volunteer, you are empowered by the courts to help make this dream a reality. You will not only bring positive change to the lives of these vulnerable children, but also their children and generations to come. And in doing so, you will enrich your life as well.
