Analyze client assistance requests, complete required verifications, assess budget, and review previous casework history
Evaluate whether needs presented can be met within NMCRS relief policies
Present requests for exceptions to Headquarters Caseworkers, with concurrence of the Director or designee.
Ability to maintain a nonjudgmental demeanor, objectivity, and client confidentiality
Ability to learn and assess alternatives and exercise active listening skills
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and prioritize time-sensitive situations
Ability to assist in developing the client’s spending plan

As a non-profit, volunteer service organization, we use both financial and non-financial resources to identify solutions to meet emerging needs. We help clients improve personal financial skills and encourage individual financial responsibility.
