Love the outdoors? Interested in environmental stewardship? Looking to fulfill those student service learning hours? Join us for a Volunteer Service Day at Locust Grove Nature Center!

Help improve and beautify Cabin John Park and the nature center grounds. On each meeting, we will assist in several stewardship projects, such as removing invasive species, picking up trash, and maintaining the trails - all to keep the park a wonderful place for visitors and animals alike.

Volunteer Service Days are scheduled for the third Saturday of every month this spring. Sign up and we can show you how to yourself for one day, or all four!

Saturday, March 18: 10am - 1pm
Saturday, April 15: 10am - 1pm
Saturday, May 20: 10am - 1pm
Saturday, June 17: 10am - 1pm

Description

Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
