The Children's Museum of Richmond: Fredericksburg, a not-for-profit organization, exists to create innovative learning experiences for all children and those who support them that inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers. The Children's Museum of Richmond will foster a community that recognizes and appreciates that children grow and learn through play.

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist in our Art Studio. The Art Studio allows artist of all ages to draw, construct, and express! Using a wide variety of materials and techniques, artists create both individual and collaborative products. The open-ended nature fosters a sense of accomplishment and individuality.

We ask all volunteers to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts a month for at least 6 months. Typically, each volunteer shift is 2 hours long. All volunteers must complete an orientation, offered once a month, before beginning service.

Volunteers as young as 11 can volunteer with us, with a parent or guardian. At 14 years old, youth can volunteer alone.

*The Children's Museum of Richmond does not currently accept volunteers who need court-ordered community service hours.
